Inside Interior Designer Ricardo de la Torre’s luxurious apartment – Spain holds many amazing secrets regarding design and one of them resides in the spectacular work of Ricardo de la Torre. The Spanish interior designer opened up his luxurious apartment doors through his sophisticated personal world in Madrid and it’s here for all of us to appreciate and enjoy.

Right in the Justicia neighbourhood, Ricardo de la Torre’s interior design inspirations took hold of his own house in a nineteenth-century building with an amazing area and luminous space. Combining a balanced amount of boldness and softness, his walls represent why he is one of the best in the business.

The entire area of the living room was once four different rooms. The building used to be an office for a publisher and is now a 220 square meters spacious and open area. Destroying most of the walls, Torre’s was able to obtain an immensely open space while keeping the pine floor and ceiling to maintain its original vintage mid-century look.

One of the aspects that stand out is the use of sober calm white on the walls that contrast with subtle colourful furniture. The main purpose is to keep thing simple and still dazzle the eye with an unexpected, magnificent colour. On the fireplace, paper framed in methacrylate by Raúl Díaz Reyes, from Galería Ponce + Robles.

Aware of 2019 trends, Ricardo de la Torre chose to have a painted ceiling with a fresco with Star Wars characters painted by Graffiti Albacete. In here, detailed traits of his personality that never fades away from his authenticity in a luxurious way.

For the bathroom, there is a mirrored-door inspired by the work of Anish Kapoor that is astonishing to everyone that glances at it.

Ricardo de la Torre’s luxurious house reflects his vision as an artist and as a trendsetter, bringing modern and classical aspects together. The interior designer’s decisions shows boldness allied with the capacity to be utterly sophisticated. At times, his work can even ally futuristic aspects with his view on simplicity. An apartment for the ages that can seem ageless in luxury.
